Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. These Terms and Conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as the “Legal Terms”) describe the terms and conditions applicable to your access and use of this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”). By accessing this Website and/or any pages thereof, you signify your agreement with and understanding of the Legal Terms pertaining to both this Website and any material contain on the Website. If you do not agree to these Legal Terms, do no access this Website. In addition, when using particular services, including but not limited to IIHF Statistical Information, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules that may be posted on the Website from time to time. All such guidelines and rules are hereby incorporated by reference into these Legal Terms.

 

IIHF reserves the right to change these Legal Terms at any time without notice to you. You are therefore responsible for regularly reviewing these Legal Terms. Continued use of this Website following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.  

Scope of Use

The Internal Ice Hockey Federation (hereinafter referred to as the “IIHF”) invites you to view, use and download small portions of the content (including text, graphics, software, video files, photos, etc.) of this Website only for personal informational purposes provided that (a) all copyright notices and/or other proprietary notices are left intact; (b) a link to the Legal Terms are included; (c) all content is displayed in accordance with all IIHF requirements as notified on this Website. You may not store, modify, reproduce, transmit, sell or distribute (for commercial or non-commercial purposes) any portion of the content of this Website, or the design or layout of the Website or individual sections thereof, in any form or media without prior IIHF written consent. The commercial or non-commercial use, reproduction, transmission or distribution of any information software or other material available through this Website without the prior written consent of the IIHF is strictly prohibited. Should you be interested in reproducing, duplicating or copying any of the content of the Website, please contact the IIHF at webmaster@iihf.com.  

You understand that the IIHF may, at any time, for any reason and without notice, and without liability to you or any third party, immediately discontinue, change or restrict the use of this Website and make changes in the products and/or services described in this Website. You agree that the IIHF shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the website. 

Intellectual property

You acknowledge and agree that the Website, any necessary software used in connection with the Website, and the Content, including without limitation the Content contained in any sponsor advertisements or information presented to you through the Website or advertisers of the trademarks, service marks and logos contained in the Content are owned by or licensed to the IIHF, and contain proprietary and confidential information that is protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws. The IIHF has absolute editorial control over all data/content on the Website.   The IIHF shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for unauthorized copying and/or use of any material property of third parties on the Website.

All names, logos and emblems of the IIHF are registered trademark and copyright material of the IIHF. You agree not to display or use the IIHF marks in any manner without IIHF’s prior written consent. Nothing in the Website is designed to grant any license or right to use any names, logos and emblems or trademarks. No act of downloading of otherwise copying or reproducing from the Website will transfer title to you to any software or material on the Website.

No offer of Service

Unless otherwise expressly stated so, the material on the Website is intended to be for informational purposes only. IIHF makes no representation that material on the Website is appropriate or available for use in jurisdictions other than Switzerland. Those users who choose to access the Website from other locations do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations.

Viruses, Hacking and other Offences

You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, the server on which the Website is stored or any server, computer, database connected to the Website. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.

By breaching this provision, you may commit a criminal offence in a number of different jurisdictions. We may report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we may co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Website will cease immediately.

B. IIHF makes no warranty or representation that (i) the website, or any feeds from it, will meet your requirements, (ii) the website, or any feed from it, will be uninterrupted, timely secure or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the website, or any feeds from it, will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the website will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the software will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

IF YOU DO NOT DO SO, YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO HAVE TO DO SO.

As a condition of use of the Website, you agree to indemnify IIHF and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all liabilities, expenses (including attorney’s fees) and damages arising out of claims resulting from your use of the Website.

If you communicate with IIHF by e-mail, you should note that the security of Internet e-mail is uncertain. By sending sensitive or confidential e-mail messages which are not encrypted you accept the risk of such uncertainty and possible lack of confidentiality over the internet.

General Information

The Legal Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the IIHF in relation to their subject matter, superseding and extinguishing any prior agreements, arrangements, undertakings of any nature, between you and the IIHF, whether oral or written in relation to such subject matter.

The Legal Terms and the relationship between you and the IIHF shall be governed by the Laws of Switzerland. In the case of a dispute, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zürich, Switzerland.

Any failure by the IIHF to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Legal Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

If any provision of these Legal Terms is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision shall be given effect to the fullest extent practicable, and the other provisions of these Legal Terms remain in full force and effect. The section titles in these Legal Terms are only for convenience and have no legal or contractual effect.
